The US Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs has scheduled a hearing on 28 September that will discuss ‘The Role of Federal Executive Boards in Pandemic Preparedness’.
The hearing will address issues raised by the Government Accountability Office study ‘The Federal Workforce: Additional Steps Needed to Take Advantage of Federal Executive Boards’ Ability to Contribute to Emergency Operations’ and will examine ways to improve the Federal Executive Boards’ role in the preparedness of the federal workforce and urban areas for responding to emergencies in general and a pandemic influenza outbreak specifically.
