According to RecoveryPlanner.com, RecoveryPlanner RPX provides improved work flow, integration, planning practices, techniques’ and offers a better user interface. This results in a true ‘enterprise continuity management’ system.

Part of the inspiration for the new RPX version was to achieve technology independence - making it deployable across a greater variety of servers and user devises, preserving enterprises' existing investments in technology, while fully leveraging today’s best of breed development technologies. RPX, a web application, supports server operating systems including Microsoft Windows, Linux, or Unix, and its accessed through a variety of browsers running on Wintel, Apple, or Linux PCs.

RecoveryPlanner RPX includes powerful integration capabilities by including web services (application programmer's interface (API)), enabling ideal interaction with existing enterprise information source systems, perpetuating the concept of efficiency through reducing duplicate data maintenance and keeping critical data up to date in a real time manner.

Existing RecoveryPlanner users, both in-house license purchasers and software as a service (SaaS), hosted clients, have already begun taking advantage of the new RPX version because it automatically migrates data from the previous RecoverPlanner version.
