WHISPIR launches in New Zealand

Get free weekly news by e-mailWhispir, an organisation that facilitates the effective management of crisis, incident and corporate communications for Australian organisations such as the Reserve Bank of Australia, ANZ, Telstra and Vodafone, is now making its services available in New Zealand.

Whispir provides an ‘intelligent messaging platform’ that structures, automates and logs the delivery of voice, e-mail, web, mobile data and SMS messages to improve the management of critical communications across complex operating environments.

Whispir CEO, Jeromy Wells, originally from Christchurch, anticipates the service will be as invaluable to NZ organisations as it is in corporate Australia.

“After an event, organisations are often criticised about their response; it was too slow, communications with key stakeholders were not timely and when information was received, it was not consistent,” Mr Wells said. “Whispir provides the capabilities organisations need to solve these problems.”

Mr Wells anticipates that the uptake of the Whispir Platform in New Zealand will follow similar patterns to Australia, with critical infrastructure groups being the first to adopt the technology. Organisations already benefiting from their use of the Whispir Platform come from a variety sectors, including government, financial services, utilities, resources and large corporate organisations.
