SunGard launches BS25999 self assessment tool

SunGard has made a free survey-based self assessment tool available which gives users a perspective on how their existing business continuity management processes and plans adhere to BS25999, the recently published business continuity management standard.

The questions focus on the five mains areas of the standard:

* Business continuity management policy and programme management;
* Understanding the organisation;
* Determining business continuity management strategies;
* Developing and implementing a business continuity management response;
* Exercising, maintenance and review.

Taking the survey allows users to consider their company’s business continuity management activities in some detail and helps to highlight any areas which may be weak of have been missed.

At the end of the survey, users can compare their results to those who have already taken part.
