IBM has launched a new certification process for its business continuity vendor partners. The ‘Business Partner Continuity Specialty’ certification is aimed at helping companies serving the mid-market ‘win more visibility, benefits and business continuity market access’.
According to IBM, business continuity solutions represent a ‘nearly $5.4 billion’ opportunity in the mid-market with an average growth rate of 10 percent annually.
Companies wishing to gain the Business Partner Business Continuity Specialty must follow a three step process:
1. Submit the IBM Business Partner Specialty form
2. Choose from IBM building blocks
Select from suggested IBM products, software, and services as basic building blocks for creating business continuity solutions.
3. Qualify for the business continuity specialty
Meet specific technical, education, and business requirements - this will allow the company to become eligible to receive additional marketing and sales support through IBM’s PartnerWorld Industry Networks.
