Strohl Systems has announced the release of PLANet 3, Strohl’s patented, online business continuity planning tool designed specifically for community financial institutions. PLANet 3 includes many new and enhanced features such as the ability to create an unlimited number of plans and to have concurrent users.
PLANet is the only online business continuity and disaster recovery planning tool designed specifically for community banks and credit unions. Over 1,000 organizations have selected PLANet to build, test and maintain their business continuity plans. With a proven methodology based on FFIEC BCP regulations, PLANet guides users through the planning process step-by-step to ensure compliance.

* Dependency map - see which processes and applications rely on others throughout the plan with a unique graphical, dependency map.
* New interface - easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions for plan building with detailed assistance for each task as well as the ability to track progress.
* Enhanced security - change passwords without having to contact Strohl Systems and PLANet administrators will have the ability to control other users’ access rights more easily.
* Import expansion - import crucial recovery information from programs like Microsoft® Excel® and Word into any of the data dictionaries in PLANet, saving time and effort when building plans.
* Document embedding - attach external documents directly to plans. File types include doc., txt., rtf., pdf., csv., xls., vsd., ppt., mmp. and lwp.
* Call list additions – with an easy-to-use, graphical, drag-and-drop interface, create multiple call lists for employees and vendors or add a person to in more than one call lists within a plan. Alternates can also be assigned for each call list position.
* Audit history - see when changes are made to plans, complete details as well as the person who made the change.
* Assessing vulnerabilities – more robust business impact analysis and risk assessment modules with the ability to identify interdependencies between business functions and the threats each particular user may face more clearly.
The underlying technology of PLANet 3 has also been updated. It was designed and developed using .NET technology Microsoft and uses the power of SQL Server. The enhanced security Web services in the .Net technology ensure that data is transmitted quickly, safely and securely and any changes or updates to PLANet can be deployed quickly and efficiently.
