Network security, 24/7/365 physical security,
uninterrupted Internet connectivity and infrastructure redundancy
are the priorities in evaluating a data centre as a viable primary
or disaster recovery site according to a survey of over 90 business
continuity, data centre consultants and mission critical managers
attending meetings of the Business Recovery Managers Association
(BRMA), Association of Sacramento Area Planners (ASAP), and the
7X24 Exchange in May.
Carrier neutrality and managed services were
generally seen as of secondary importance.
