NDR adds new mobile unit to its mobile recovery fleet

Get free weekly news by e-mailUK business continuity specialist NDR has announced the newest addition to its growing fleet of mobile recovery units - a new vehicle with accommodation for up to 20 people, servers and the latest satellite and wireless networking facilities.

The recovery unit is designed to offer a flexible alternative computer suite environment and can also provide 20 workplace recovery positions when both 'gull-wing' sides are fully expanded.

The fully air-conditioned unit has its own computer room with a generator and UPS. There is a 24U rack space with patch panel to house 96 CAT5/6 data ports and 48 double power sockets, also a wireless LAN. This means the unit can support a sizeable installation and office network.

Onboard communications is provided by a satellite receiver that gives secure Internet access and VPN services.

The vehicle is protected by the very latest CCTV security cameras, access control and a GSM entry alarm which can detect movement in the office area or plant room.
