The IBM System Storage DR550 has been named ‘Best of Show’ for Most Innovative Data Protection Technology in the Information Lifecycle Management category at the first annual Data Protection Summit in Irvine, California. The IBM System Storage DR550 is designed to help businesses meet the growing challenge of efficiently managing and securing retention managed data and other critical information assets with operational efficiency. The DR550 design integrates storage tiering to minimize costs over the long term and to maximize operational efficiency. Customers have the flexibility to create multiple tiers within the archive, select the storage media for each tier, and define the criteria for moving data.
