BCI Australia has announced that May 6th – 12th 2007 will be Business Continuity Awareness Week in the country. The focus of the week will be encouraging businesses to consider the testing and maintenance of their business continuity arrangements and to reassess the resilience of their business continuity plans.

The inaugural BCI Business Continuity Summit, Asia Pacific, will also take place during the week (9 – 11 May). This will be the main focal point of awareness raising activities. Expert presentations will demonstrate how holistic business continuity management encourages the inter-dependency of planning, risk and emergency management, ensuring that they work together for preparedness and resilience to business disruption and external disaster.
