New edition of NFPA 1600 published

The US National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) has released the latest version of its NFPA 1600 Standard on Disaster/Emergency Management and Business Continuity Programs. The 2007 edition provides an update to the standard, which was first published in 2004 and has been widely accepted by North American-based organizations.

NFPA 1600 sets out to ‘provide disaster and emergency management and business continuity programs, the criteria to assess current programs or to develop, implement, and maintain aspects for prevention, mitigation, preparation, response, and recovery from emergencies.’
