1105 Media, Inc., has announced that it has acquired The CPM Group, producer of contingency planning and management conferences and information products serving the fields of business continuity, emergency management, and security. CPM, based in Lambertville, NJ, will become part of the Security Products division of 1105 Media, headed by Group Publisher Russell Lindsay. The seller is West Coast WirelessLines, a portfolio company of MCG Capital Corporation.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
"The acquisition of CPM adds another dimension to our activities in the security marketplace by deepening our presence in several important niches," said Neal Vitale, president and CEO of 1105 Media, Inc. "This transaction also begins the
expansion of the former Stevens Publishing properties into live events."
"We are very excited to become a part of the 1105 Media organization, and to draw on a much deeper array of resources. CPM strives to work harder than anyone else in the industry to offer the most relevant, current topics facing the business continuity community at each of our conferences. This transaction helps to bring these important issues more effectively to an even broader audience," states Kristie O'Keefe, director, Event Planning and Marketing, The CPM Group.
The next CPM conference is scheduled for May 22-24, 2007, at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas.
