Civil Contingencies Secretariat to explore impact of pandemics on the workplace

The Civil Contingencies Secretariat has launched two online surveys which will explore how employees are likely to react during a pandemic outbreak. The surveys focus on the impacts of possible school and childcare closures on absences at work and will provide information which will help companies, government departments and the Department of Health make pandemic preparedness and business continuity plans based on realistic assumptions.
