CA launches comprehensive IT recovery management package

CA is offering a new IT recovery management solution that combines continuous data protection, business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities into one easy-to-manage package.

The BrightStor ARCserve Backup/WANSyncHA Bundle integrates the XOsoft WANSync high availability and XOsoft Assured Recovery disaster recovery testing solutions recently acquired by CA with CA's popular BrightStor ARCserve Backup.

The new solution enables a full range of recovery management best practices - including rapid backup to all forms of storage media, replication of data to remote servers, and testing of the recoverability of key business applications and data.

CA says that many companies have been reluctant to adopt continuous data protection because it only addresses part of their overall recovery management requirements. The new package should address this issue; integrating CDP with multiple data protection, business continuity and disaster recovery technologies, the new bundle helps customers ensure availability and timely recovery of e-mail, database and other business applications across diverse storage infrastructures.
