US-based LWG Restoration has unveiled a corrosion retardant for circuit boards and electronic components that have been exposed to water or smoke. Following a disaster such corrosion poses one of the highest threats to critical communications and data processing systems. Arresting this destructive process prior to restoration has previously proven to be a major challenge.

Early application of the new corrosion inhibitor significantly reduces deterioration of affected electronic equipment and dramatically improves the chances of an effective restoration.

"The innovation of an electronic preservative will greatly improve our ability to stabilize equipment following a catastrophe or peril. Our Restoration group did an excellent job developing a technique that I have not seen before in this industry," remarked Mark Ewing, LWG's Director of Complex Loss.

LWG has fifteen offices across the US and Canada.
