ChicagoFIRST reaches 25-member mark

ChicagoFIRST has announced the addition of its newest member, Goldman Sachs, which becomes the 25th member to join the organization since its inception in 2003.

"We are thrilled to welcome Goldman Sachs as our 25th member, adding yet another leader of the financial services community to our membership," said Brian Tishuk, Executive Director of ChicagoFIRST. "The addition of Goldman Sachs will further advance ChicagoFIRST's efforts to build the necessary relationships to ensure the resilience of the city's financial sector in the event of man-made or natural disasters."

In July 2006, ChicagoFIRST celebrated its third anniversary and, in September, the coalition participated in the planning and execution of the City of Chicago's Central Business District evacuation drill, the first large-scale evacuation drill ever conducted in a major city in which a total of nearly 3,000 downtown workers participated.

ChicagoFIRST continues to expand its business continuity initiatives and public sector relationships, including those with the US Departments of the Treasury and Homeland Security, currently working on exercise initiatives with both agencies.
