CA has announced that it is to launch ‘broad-based solutions for risk mitigation and compliance that will enhance the built-in capabilities included in Microsoft Exchange Server 2007’. These centralized information, recovery and resource management products will enable customers to optimize data protection, e-mail archiving, compliance and electronic data discovery across large Exchange Server environments.
CA development teams are working with Microsoft to ensure that CA's information and storage management products work with Exchange Server 2007. This will help ensure that customers have a solution that is easy to deploy, use and administer when they install the new Exchange Server version.
"Governance, regulatory and business continuity challenges are fueling customer demand for comprehensive risk management and compliance for Exchange Server," said Glenn Rhodes, vice president of product marketing at CA. "CA and Microsoft are delivering the solutions customers need to effectively and efficiently address these issues."
The CA risk mitigation and compliance solutions for Exchange Server 2007 will include:
* CA MDY FileSurf to centrally manage records regardless of location or origin;
* CA Message Manager to provide e-mail archiving, electronic data discovery and mailbox management;
* CA BrightStor ARCserve Backup and CA XOsoft continuous application availability solutions - which encompass CDP (continuous data protection), replication, automatic failover and disaster recovery testing - to accelerate backup and recovery, ensure availability and minimize loss of critical applications and data;
* CA BrightStor Storage Resource Manager for capacity planning, forecasting and optimization of Exchange servers.
