ICM Computer Group has provided an update on the potential acquisition of the company by Netstore. A statement released to the UK stock market reads as follows:
“Further to its announcement dated 16 October 2006 regarding Netstore's possible approach for ICM, the Board of ICM confirms that whilst no offer has been made by Netstore, ICM has received a preliminary all share proposal for combining the two companies for which an early meeting has been scheduled to seek further clarification.
“These discussions form part of ICM's continuing consideration of options for maximising shareholder value.
“This announcement has not been made with the approval or agreement of Netstore.
There can be no certainty that an offer will be made. Furthermore there can be no certainty as to the terms upon on which any offer might be made. Shareholders will be updated in due course and are advised to take no action at this stage.”
