IBM has announced that it is to launch ‘Virtual Workplace Continuity’, a new service that will provide dispersed workers with the ability to connect to applications, data and people during a disaster or a disruptive event. A new solution from Citrix forms an integral part of the Virtual Workplace Continuity service.
Virtual Workplace Continuity integrates emergency notification, employee updates, access to applications, and communications and collaboration tecnhologies within a single solution.
"IBM's new Virtual Workplace Continuity service product helps clients focus on the human side of business continuity to ensure that employees can still remain productive when they cannot get to the workplace," said Philippe Jarre, global vice president, IBM Business Continuity and Resiliency Services.
The IBM Virtual Workplace Continuity service product will be available from IBM's Business Continuity and Resiliency Services unit.
