BakBone survey predicts increased adoption of replication and disaster recovery solutions in North America

BakBone Software recently conducted a survey of its channel partners. This found that replication and disaster recovery have moved to the top of the priority list for customers.

Survey findings also indicate that business continuity planning, while viewed as vital to ensuring the continued operation of systems that support critical business processes, is seen by the majority of respondents as a complex, costly and decentralized process. Eighty-two percent of the reseller respondents indicated that their customers would be interested in simplifying and centralizing the management of different data protection solutions (backup and recovery, replication, vaulting and snapshot) to ensure that they work together seamlessly and across different computing platforms, including Windows, Linux, and UNIX.
