BSI launches PAS 77 IT Service Continuity Management framework

Provides guidance on IT continuity and availability management.

In recent months the UK business continuity profession has had its eyes focussed upon the development of BS 2599, the British Standard for Business Continuity Management. However, at the same time the British Standards Institution has been developing PAS 77:2006 IT Service Continuity Management, a framework for IT continuity and availability management.

PAS (Publicly Available Specification) 77 explains the principles and offers some recommended techniques for ‘IT Service Continuity Management’ (ITSCM). It has been developed in partnership with Adam Continuity, Dell Corporation, Unisys and SunGard and is designed for organisations of all sizes whether in the private or public sector.
