New group CEO for SunGard Availability Services
Cristóbal Conde, president and chief executive officer of SunGard, said, “Ted’s track record at SunGard, management precision and operational excellence made him a natural choice to lead SunGard Availability Services. He has a deep understanding of our customers’ requirements for information availability solutions and has the skills needed to help grow the business.” A two-decade SunGard veteran, Mr. Gaasche previously served as chief operating officer and chief financial officer of SunGard Availability Services with responsibilities for overseeing the day-to-day operational and financial affairs of the company.

Mr. Gaasche (left) joined SunGard in 1987 and has held numerous positions in financial administration and planning, including vice president and controller of SunGard Recovery Services. Before joining SunGard, Mr. Gaasche worked for a mid-sized regional accounting firm that became part of Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneurial Services Group. Mr. Gaasche received a BS/BA in Accounting from Shippensburg University, a Masters from Villanova University, and also holds a Certified Public Accounting license.
