Edge Business Continuity Center opens its doors

Get free weekly news by e-mailTuesday, September 26th sees the ‘Grand Opening’ of a new business continuity facility in Des Moines.

The developers of the new recovery center, LightEdge Solutions, LBC Technology and Ladco Development, have announced that local business leaders, chambers of commerce, and local media representatives have been invited to attend the ceremony, which will commence at 2:00 p.m. in Altoona, Iowa.

Martha Willits, president and CEO of the Greater Des Moines Partnership, will kick off a ribbon-cutting ceremony with a short speech. Members of the Greater Des Moines Partnership and the Altoona Chamber of Commerce will also participate.

Additionally, Jeff Williams, president of Binomial will speak on the importance of disaster recovery planning and representatives from Microsoft and Cisco will also speak on their roles in the EdgeBCC project and the relevance of business continuity for today's business.

The ceremony will be followed by a reception and facility tours.
