Iron Mountain Digital launches Email Continuity service in Europe

Get free weekly news by e-mailIron Mountain Digital has launched its new Email Continuity service in Europe.

Iron Mountain’s Email Continuity service has been developed in response to the rising cost of e-mail downtime, which can seriously impact on a company’s ability to continue its normal business activities and recover quickly in a time of crisis.

The service is a highly scaleable standby e-mail system that guarantees continuous access to e-mails, contacts and calendars and other vital business and personal data often stored within e-mail systems.

It provides simple and effective e-mail continuity in three steps. Firstly, corporate e-mail is securely synchronised to top-tier data centres across Europe. Secondly, the e-mail continuity service is immediately activated when the primary - platform goes down. Within minutes, employees have direct access to a fully functional Web-based e-mail system, allowing them to send and receive email from their standard corporate e-mail account. Finally, once e-mail has been restored, all mails sent or received during the emergency are seamlessly and automatically merged into the company’s primary e-mail system.

The Email Continuity service is fully compatible with Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Notes e-mail systems, as well as BlackBerry and other mobile devices. The price of the solution is based on the total number of mail boxes.
