The Association of Contingency Planners (ACP) has announced the inductees into the 2006 ACP Hall of Fame. Established to acknowledge ACP members for significant impact and influence in the industry, this is the first year for the award.
The 2006 ACP Hall of Fame inaugural inductees and ACP’s description of why they won:
- Rich Arnold, publisher and editor-in-chief for DRJ for dedication and a pioneer spirit in advancing the business continuity profession and continued support of ACP. Among many accomplishments, Mr. Arnold founded the Disaster Recovery Journal, the first publication dedicated to the industry and co-founded the Disaster Recovery Institute. These two institutions have advanced the education and career paths for thousands of planning professionals.
- Cheyene Haase, president of BC Management, Inc. for commitment to elevating the status of the professional planner and her enthusiasm for supporting ACP locally. Ms. Haase founded a professional search firm for the industry and initiated the BCP Salary Survey, both of which have elevated the status of practitioners worldwide.
- Carey Storm, director of operations for Qualcomm Inc. for creating the San Diego Sorrento Valley Task Force. Ms. Storm’s initiative to preparedness planning for her own company has provided a forum for local companies to form alliances and share tools and resources.
