Office-Shadow and MissionMode to offer joint crisis management and communications solution

Get free weekly news by e-mailOffice-Shadow, the UK business continuity software company, and emergency communications provider, MissionMode, are partnering to offer medium to large enterprises worldwide an integrated business continuity planning and crisis management system. This will enable users to develop and maintain business continuity plans using the Shadow-Planner software and put them into action quickly in a crisis with the help of MissionMode's alert notification system.

The new solution from Office-Shadow and MissionMode integrates and automates key crisis management processes and communications. Once an incident occurs, Shadow-Planner defines the assigned call cascades - lists of the staff members who need to be contacted in an emergency. Those cascades are then used by MissionMode's Emergency Notification module to quickly send alerts to staff via a variety of devices including phone, fax, pager, SMS and e-mail.

MissionMode then automatically creates an online ‘Situation Center’, a virtual control centre where plans created in Shadow-Planner and associated information such as checklists, contacts and resources are readily available. Members of the crisis response team can also interact with each other, co-ordinate measures, access resources and update their task status. In this way, incident response teams can be mobilised rapidly and have all relevant information to hand to resolve the issue. The results of incidents - or emergency training exercises - can be used to update plans held in Shadow-Planner, helping companies improve their business continuity plans and reduce the costs associated with business downtime.
