Telefonica's subsidiary in the USA has opened a new ‘Business Continuity Resource Center’ within its SAS 70 certified data center facility in Doral, Florida. The new, fully-equipped, state-of-the-art, category 5 facility is designed to provide secure work area recovery services and other business continuity services to businesses in South Florida.
"We are very excited about our recent expansion which affords us the opportunity to accommodate more customers with their disaster recovery and business continuity needs here. The new Business Continuity Resource Center offers:

The launch event was attended by over 100 executives from multinational and enterprise clients with operations in USA, Europe, and Latin America. The select audience had the opportunity to hear expert guest keynote speaker Bryan Norcross discuss preparedness issues and lessons learned, and share some interesting highlights from his newly released book ‘Hurricane Almanac 2006’ to hit stores in July (http://www.hurricanealmanac.com).
