Continuity Central and BCI to publish journal of record for the business continuity profession The Business Continuity Institute (BCI) and Continuity Central are working in partnership to launch the definitive journal for the business continuity profession. The first issue of this quarterly publication will be available in September 2006.
The Business Continuity Journal will be a peer reviewed international business continuity journal. Each issue will provide a minimum of 48 pages of unique very high level content, which will explore advanced business continuity thinking and will showcase the latest in business continuity academic research. Each item in the Business Continuity Journal will not have been published previously elsewhere and will be scrutinised by a panel consisting of FBCI level practitioners, academics and subject matter experts. To further ensure its academic integrity the Journal will contain no advertising and the credentials of every contributor will be rigorously checked. There will be three versions initially: a UK version; a North American version; and an international version. As well as receiving the Journal four times a year, subscribers will gain access to a subscriber-only website which will provide an archive of all previous issues of the Journal as well as access to other editions (for example UK subscribers can read and download the North American and International versions). Additional materials to support published articles will also be available and subscribers will be able to discuss articles with other subscribers.
