Tek-Tools Software has launched Backup Policy Auditor for VERITAS NetBackup. The tool automates the management and tracking of scheduled backup jobs and provides a means to audit backup policies and schedules. NetBackup users can now track missed client schedules and compare what was supposed to be backed-up against what was actually backed-up. The Backup Policy Auditor retains historical data for compliance and trending purposes.

"From a compliance perspective, the ability to have a predictable process in place to audit what jobs were scheduled to run but, in fact, never ran is just as important as understanding what jobs failed or succeeded.
