Automata International Business Continuity Summer School
Automata Global Business Continuity Services is running an International Business Continuity Summer School over five days. It is aimed at delegates from all over the globe who are just starting their careers out as business continuity practitioners (0 to three years experience). Through an enjoyable combination of interactive case studies, group work and multimedia presentations the course will leave delegates with a clear understanding of business continuity management. The first two days of the course will comprise of Automata’s Business Continuity Institute approved two-day Business Continuity Management Masterclass. This will cover the 10 certification standards of the BCI and the Disaster Recovery Institute International. On the midweek day, course leaders will examine topical issues such as how business continuity can assist in cost-effectively optimising the technological infrastructure of organisations, the pro’s and cons of business continuity software and pandemic planning. The final two days of the course will be based on Automata’s Exercise Development and Delivery Masterclass. It will be spent assisting delegates understand how to develop and deliver exercises from simple desktop tests to enterprise wide exercises involving all components of a business continuity management programme including: * Developing realistic exercise scripts and ‘injects’ to ensure all required components of a business continuity programme are involved; * Ensuring safety and security including isolation for a safe learning environment and security measures for the protection of the participants and the business; * Capturing careful observations of the participants’ performance and providing quality feedback to reinforce the lessons learned; * Recording the full event history for review purposes and formal reporting in order to derive maximum benefit and awareness. Delegates attending the Automata’s International Business Continuity Summer school will be provided with: * Course Binders containing all reference materials * A free memory stick with business continuity tools, e.g. plan templates & BIA questionnaires * Free Affiliate membership of the Business Continuity Institute * A free business continuity help desk for follow up enquiries and ongoing assistance. Automata luxury conference centre conference centre, in the Northamptonshire countryside, is about one hour from London. Accommodation will be available the weekend before and after the course, as well as during the course, to assist delegates with travel arrangements.
