The School of Public Health and the College of Business Administration at the University of Illinois at Chicago have introduced a new online business continuity training course, the Emergency Management and Continuity Planning Campus Certificate (EMCP).
The certificate is composed of five courses and will require a total of fifteen semester hours to complete. Courses will be delivered entirely online and will promote the student-expert interaction through discussion groups and the use of ‘Collaboration Sessions’ within the Blackboard system at UIC.
Led by faculty from University of Illinois at Chicago and Northern Illinois University, practitioners from Argonne National Laboratory and business continuity planners from the private and public sectors, the EMCP program will engage students in the formulation and discussion of real-life case studies, conveying and providing them with new problem-solving techniques.
