‘Learning from disasters’

Get free weekly news by e-mailThe Business Continuity Institute’s London Forum is running a seminar with the above title on 7th June 2006 at IBM's Sampson House, 64 Hopton Street, Southwark, London SE1 9JH.

The objective of this seminar is to review the key learning points that have been identified from a range of past disasters and crises, enabling delegates to review their existing plans in the light of the lessons learned.

This event is aimed at individuals working within business continuity, disaster recovery, contingency planning, emergency planning, risk and facilities management, in both the private and public sectors.

* ‘A legal overview of insurance claims and liability’ by Tony Cherry, partner Beechcroft Wainsborough
* ‘The Government’s approach to terrorism and insurance’ by Steve Atkins, chief executive officer Pool Re
* ‘Legislation and business continuity’ by John Milne, head of business continuity management at the FSA

Places are limited, the cost for attending this full day seminar, lunch and soft drinks included, is £75 for non BCI Members, and £50 for Members of the BCI, EPS or ICDDS.
