Typhoon Chanchu, an unusually strong storm for so early in the typhoon season, has created major business continuity problems for businesses in the Philippines and, more recently, southern China.
In China , more than 600,000 people were evacuated from high risk areas on Wednesday night.
Today, Taiwanese, Premier Su Tseng-chang warned that Typhoon Chanchu is picking up strength again and is expected to have a strong impact on central and southern Taiwan. Heavy rainfall associated with the storm is likely to be the main source of damage.
