Businesses attacked in Athens

The three hour march was by people who were participating in the ‘Libertarian-Anarchists Forum’, which took place at the same time as the unrelated European Social Forum.

According to reports on IndyMedia, approximately 2,500 people took part in the anarchists’ march and police arrested 20 people.

Amongst the businesses attacked were various banks, the Hilton hotel, a McDonalds restaurant and several department stores. The US and Italian embassies were also targeted.
