Avis Europe developing new Frankfurt facility to provide disaster recovery for UK data centre

Affiniti has announced that it is to provide the infrastructure and support for a new Avis Europe data centre in Frankfurt, Germany. The facility will provide disaster recovery for Avis Europe’s UK data centre.

Affiniti will design and install cabling, Cisco switches and servers, as well as security products from Nokia and Check Point. Security includes Check Point’s SmartCentre management GUI to synchronise policy information. Tailored support services in Germany will be provided through Affiniti’s Service One Alliance partner, NK Networks & Services, which is part of the network integration group AXIANS.
