There is a growing demand for business continuity services in Bahrain, one driver being the BMA (Bahrain Monetary Agency) requirement that all financial institutions keep records in off-site storage and the recommendation that they utilise disaster recovery facilities.

The INFORT data centre provides uninterrupted services round the clock, 365 days a year. Companies using the facility can depend on:-

• Fail-safe reliability and continuous monitoring

• Physical and network access security surveillance

• Zoned environmental control

• Fire suppression and early warning smoke detection systems

• Uninterrupted power supply – with four modular UPS systems with in-built redundancy.

High capacity access to the Internet backbone in the region and through to the rest of the world is an integral and crucial part of the services offered at the facility.

Business customers are offered facilities within the data centre to host their own equipment.

“INFORT is a key strategic offering for the corporate sector in Bahrain which will enable the Kingdom to further enhance its position as a regional and international hub for business,” said anis CEO Yacoob Al-Awadhi.

“INFORT currently offers co-location services and will soon be introducing managed services such as data vaulting and managed security and routing services,” he said.

“INFORT will satisfy the ever increasing demand in the market for data protection and disaster recovery and eliminate the cost for individual companies to maintain their own disaster recovery solutions.”
