The findings of HP’s sixth annual UK Pressure Point Index (PPI) survey of 200 IT managers, show that although an encouraging 84 percent of respondents claim to have IT continuity strategies in place, only 29 percent perform tests at six-monthly intervals. The majority (37 percent) undertake testing on a yearly basis.
Two thirds of responding companies have a dedicated business continuity manager, while over half rely upon external consultants to assist in their business continuity planning.
41 percent of respondents keep responsibility for recovery in-house and only five percent rely solely on third-party partners; down from the 13 percent of those polled a year ago.
