BRMA presents 2005 Excellence in Business Continuity Planning Award

The Business Recovery Managers Association (BRMA) has presented the 2005 Excellence in Business Continuity Planning Award to Mary Clare Bennett a Certified Business Continuity Planner with CMP Media in San Francisco.

BRMA's Excellence in Business Continuity Planning Award presentation ceremony was part of the organization’s annual meeting, which was attended by around 100 corporate and government disaster recovery, business continuity and emergency managers.

BRMA board member Michael Helmantoler of Visa USA stated that the award is presented annually to a professional or organization who “shows excellence in the advancement of the theory and practice of business continuity, disaster recovery, contingency and continuity planning, and emergency response.”

Bennett’s award nominations sited her dedication and recent service as a “member of the San Francisco Disaster Medical Aid Team in the role of Public Information Officer and her service at the Superdome and the New Orleans airport in amazingly horrible conditions. She helped victims of Hurricane Katrina and was again deployed in response to Hurricane Rita.”
