Australia should be the hub for Asia Pacific disaster recovery facilities…

Get free weekly news by e-mailInteractive, an Australian-owned systems availability services company, has claimed that Australia should be the main supplier of disaster recovery services to the whole of the Asia Pacific region. “Australia has the opportunity to become the disaster recovery hub for Asia Pacific,” says Christopher Ride, managing director of Interactive. “Our stable political, economic and social climate combined with our significant pool of IT engineering skills offers Asia-Pacific region businesses a highly compelling proposition to base their disaster recovery facilities in Australia.”

Mr. Ride made the claim whilst revealing that Interactive has made a $AUS13.5 million capital investment in a new, high-tech disaster recovery facility near North Sydney. This will provide work area recovery seats as well as data centre capacity.

Interactive provides large and medium size companies with highly secure disaster recovery planning and facilities services to ensure constant systems availability. The key components of Interactive’s disaster recovery services include:

* Australia-wide network of disaster recovery centres
* Dedicated and multi-subscriber mainframe, server and call centre facilities
* Cold, warm and hot environments
* Defined response times
* Dedicated engineers available within 15 minutes of invocation
* Support for all major hardware platforms
* Limited subscriber numbers to guarantee against conflicting emergencies
* Metro and regional parts warehouses.
