MessageOne launches enterprise emergency notification and escalation solution

Get free weekly news by e-mailMessageOne has launched ‘AlertFind Enterprise’ – which the company says is ‘the first solution that offers enterprise-level data security, privacy and customization to support the widest range of emergency notification scenarios’.

With enhanced security and privacy features, AlertFind Enterprise removes the obstacle of emergency notification systems revealing personal employee contact information to any administrator of the system. Prior to AlertFind Enterprise, says MessageOne, large enterprises had to strictly limit the use of emergency notification to only a few highly-placed individuals because of the sensitivity of the personal data. With AlertFind Enterprise, new security capabilities enable hundreds of new uses for urgent communications within teams, among groups or across an entire company.

The new version of AlertFind includes the following key features:

* Enterprise data security and access control
Designed to meet the most stringent requirements of large enterprises for data privacy and access control, AlertFind allows delegation of permissions to control who initiates notifications and whom they can contact. AlertFind access control allows policy to be set around viewing of personal contact information. This security model enables organisations to create teams of users around business units, departments, crisis response teams, geographies, roles and to control which data and functionality each user can access.

* Best-of-class data synchronisation and management
AlertFind integrates with key enterprise systems to enable large companies to leverage existing contact information sources – rather than maintaining a stand- alone emergency notification database. Specifically, AlertFind offers automatic synchronisation with enterprise resource planning and human resource systems (PeopleSoft and SAP); enterprise messaging systems (Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Notes); and disaster recovery planning software, as well as all other generic ODBC data sources.

* Real-time auditing and reporting
AlertFind features a real-time audit trail with a detailed transactional log, reporting on pending and sent notifications. Important for enterprise records and compliance obligations, the AlertFind reports offer simple summaries, as well as detailed descriptions of the notification process on a user, by user or device by device basis.

* Full global support
MessageOne operates data centres worldwide to support the needs of its global customers. AlertFind is hosted in IBM and SunGard top-tier disaster recovery data centres worldwide, to ensure that organisations receive the highest level of reliability.

* Web services API
With the new version of AlertFind, MessageOne has opened up its API (application protocol interface) so that enterprise customers have the ability to directly integrate AlertFind with other enterprise systems such as disaster recovery planning tools, systems management applications and other custom business applications. The APIs allow organisations to easily build custom interfaces enabling them to use existing systems to trigger alerts, with a wide range of user scenarios.

AlertFind is available immediately from MessageOne, with enterprise pricing starting at $15,000 per year, depending on the configuration.
