Comments requested on new guidance for business continuity professionals.
The Disaster Recovery Journal (DRJ) and the Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII) have published a draft version of new guidance for business continuity professionals which has been jointly developed by the two organisations. Called the ‘Generally Accepted Business Continuity Practices’, the document is intended to become “recognized as a leading source of ‘sound’ Generally Accepted Practices by providing a depository of knowledge and recommendations offered by skilled business continuity practitioners.”
The Generally Accepted Business Continuity Practices follows the ten professional competencies / ten key business continuity disciplines methodology that was developed jointly by DRII and the Business Continuity Institute a few years ago.
ARMA, FSTC and NFPA have also been involved in the development of the Generally Accepted Business Continuity Practices.
DRJ and DRII are inviting comments and feedback on the draft, which can be downloaded from www.drj.com/GAP/
