Universal Guardian Corporation has announced
the release of its integrated UniGuard Integrated Petroleum Asset
Management and Security System for the protection of petroleum industry
assets, including oil fields, refineries, offshore platforms and
oil tankers.
The Universal Guardian UniGuard Integrated
Petroleum Asset Management and Security System is designed to provide
automated surveillance, threat detection, assessment and immediate
response for high-risk petroleum industry assets. In addition, the
system mitigates many potential threats in various petroleum industry
environments, including oil field wellheads, refineries, offshore
oil platforms, storage facilities, ships, and harbours. The ‘sensor
neutral’ platform integrates, assesses and displays signals
from a multitude of sensors, including video, SONAR, RADAR, thermal
imaging cameras and others. The UniGuard platform is designed to
accept virtually any sensor technology, ensuring easy integration
and scalability in numerous threat environments.
"The risk to petroleum producers, refiners,
and transporters is rapidly increasing with the escalation of regional
conflicts and global terrorism. The financial and ecological impact
from an attack on an oilfield, pipeline, refinery or ship in harbour
or at sea has consequences of national and international proportions,"
said Michael J. Skellern, chairman and CEO of Universal Guardian
Holdings, Inc. "Universal Guardian's Petroleum Asset Management
and Security System provides real-time security management and coordinated
response for local security operators, regional security elements,
government agencies and corporate management anywhere in the world,"
added Skellern.
The UniGuard Petroleum Asset Management and
Security System is capable of providing a geo-spatial collaborative
environment to organise and manage the placement and monitoring
of information resources (sensors, intelligence reports, and personnel).
This unique environment allows system operators to better manage
and exploit their resources quickly and effectively.
