IBHS business continuity guide for small businesses

The US Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS) has created ‘Open for Business’, a comprehensive disaster recovery planning toolkit in booklet and CD formats. The easy-to-use guide aims to help small business owners “reduce the potential for loss should disaster strike, and reopen quickly should they be forced to close.”

Open for Business includes various business continuity aids, including a risk assessment tool and materials to help organise the business' critical information and review its essential operations.

The Public Entity Risk Institute (PERI) provided a grant to support the publication of Open for Business. PERI's mission is to serve public, private and nonprofit organisations as a dynamic, forward thinking resource for the practical enhancement of risk management.
