Just what we need:  a “target” date for all our “friends” to “aim” for.

I am very pleased to see the BCI giving us a year as a countdown to prepare for this world rehearsal.  I hope the DR companies will support the initiative.  This is a great challenge to involve every party, (every inter-dependency) and ensure integration between authorities, regulators, commerce, infrastructure and society.
Andy Tomkinson, UK (BCI marketing coordinator)

I think it would make a lot more sense to tie the day to an event everyone, even school children, already equate with safety and planning. The first week in October is observed as Fire Prevention Week in US and Canada. Why not culminate the weeks events with an International / National Rehearsal Day.
