SunGard Availability Services UK has launched ‘Paragon’, a sophisticated new business continuity management software tool which will provide organisations with the functionality needed to handle multiple incidents and prioritise communication channels during a crisis.
Paragon is a “next generation software tool designed to help organisations maximise their information availability strategies.” Paragon achieves this by providing a complete solution encompassing ongoing business impact analysis, business continuity planning and recovery strategies based on different 'what if' scenarios. It also incorporates a two-way communication tool, helping to ensure that all departments can keep in touch with each other at-time-of-disaster.
Keith Tilley, UK managing director and senior vice-president Europe at SunGard Availability Services, commented: "Paragon is not just a planning tool, like so many of the other business continuity software products on the market. With the ability to not only plan for multiple scenarios, but clearly identify roles and responsibilities during a crisis, Paragon will help organisations minimise the impact of a disaster on the business through the use of pre-defined recovery processes, helping to ensure the right solution is in place. This will help organisations to continue business as usual, whatever the occurrence."
"The demands of today's always-on environment mean that organisations must ensure mission critical applications are available 24/7 and that relationships with customers and suppliers are not compromised during an occurrence. Paragon has been designed with this in mind and offers organisations a unique tool to help them understand key business processes, dependencies and vulnerabilities to help develop relevant strategies for business survival."
