Bloomberg has reported that both Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank AG are investing in new ‘emergency offices’ in Tokyo due to increasing concerns that a huge earthquake is just around the corner.
Bloomberg states that according to Japanese government figures the number of major earthquakes in the Tokyo area has increased by 37 percent in the period 2000 – 2004 and the city has a 70 percent chance of being hit by a magnitude 7 earthquake in the next 30 years. Read the story
