Get free weekly news by e-mailRepublic Polytechnic (RP), a government-funded educational institution in Singapore, has developed a Business Continuity Lab to provide a hands-on test architecture for corporations and IT students in Singapore.

RP has recently purchased and deployed technology from Decru and Cisco Systems in the Business Continuity Lab to showcase a secure disaster recovery environment. This will demonstrate best practices in storage-area network design.

"Business continuity and information security are increasingly vital to enterprise and government organisations, yet many IT professionals are struggling to balance competing requirements. Republic Polytechnic's mission is to take a leading role in providing problem-solving skills and practical IT knowledge, and our secure disaster recovery showcase is a great example of this commitment," said Prof. Low Teck Seng, principal and CEO of Republic Polytechnic.
