EVault expands operations in the United Kingdom

EVault, Inc., the US-based provider of online backup and recovery solutions, has announced its expansion into the UK market, with the signing of seven top-tier IT solution providers in the United Kingdom.

SunGard Availability Services, G-Stor, MTI, Plum Data, Redstor, Solid-State Solutions (S3) and Trisys are offering EVault InfoStage backup and recovery software and services to businesses with remote offices, such as legal, banking and professional services that need a secure, cost-effective method of centralising their backup processes. EVault InfoStage offers these businesses a proven, disk-to-disk backup alternative to tape backup schemes. With EVault InfoStage, businesses can leverage their existing hardware and network infrastructure, resulting in faster backups and easy, user-initiated restores.

Phil Evans, director of business development (EMEA), will manage the new EVault office in Chertsey and oversee country managers throughout the European region. EVault plans to expand beyond the UK and into Central and Southern Europe throughout the remainder of the year. William da Cunha, vice president of international business development, will lead the company’s continued European expansion.
