SunGard finalises Inflow acquisition

SunGard Availability Services has announced that it has completed the acquisition of Denver-based Inflow, Inc. The transaction is not expected to have a material impact on SunGard Availability Services' financial results.

The acquisition of Inflow, an ISO 9001 certified provider, enhances SunGard Availability Services' high availability infrastructure and service delivery capabilities. SunGard will add 14 data centres throughout the US that geographically complement its existing 23 US data centres.

"SunGard Availability Services' acquisition of Inflow provides customers of both companies a comprehensive range of information availability services from a single provider," said Jim Simmons, group chief executive officer of SunGard Availability Services. "It is our mission to provide our customers access to their important business functions according to their need - always on, within minutes, or hours depending on the criticality of their systems."

SunGard Availability Services will now serve more than 10,000 customers and have available over 3.5 million square feet of data centre space predominantly in North America and Europe.
