DRI
International is urging corporate leaders and business continuity
professionals to participate in Global Business Continuity Awareness
Week (GBCAW), March 13th-18th, 2005.
“Corporate preparedness is a hot-button issue for executives
across the nation,” DRI International Executive Director Tom
Mawson said. “This event is an opportunity for organisations
to re-emphasise why proper planning is critical to overall risk
management.”
DRI International is providing resources to help organisations
support business continuity at the grassroots level with their employees
and in their communities.
The DRI International website now provides a ‘Global
Business Continuity Awareness Week Toolkit’ containing
ideas for promotion of this event within companies, special community
events, sample press releases, media tips and more.
“These tools allow business continuity professionals to effectively
convey the importance of business continuity within their companies,
in their communities, and in the media,” Mawson added. “This
week will be a rallying point to demonstrate the unity of our profession
and highlight how we are protecting businesses, their customers
and the communities they live in.”
